If you're anything like me, you hate waiting. I hate it with a passion. HOWEVER. Being on the Hedgehaus waitlist is different. Let me tell you how!

From the time of breeding, to time for babies to go home, is approximately 3 months. Which is NOT a lot of time, when you think about it. But when you're waiting, it sounds like forever.

The best hedgie supplies are not all really found at the store. Much of it has to be ordered online, so this is the perfect amount of time to get all of your new baby's supplies ordered, delivered, and ready for them to come home. This is also a great amount of time to spend doing as much research as possible, if you have never had a hedgehog before. Even if you have, it never hurts to brush up and refresh your memory. There is a lot of misinformation about hedgehogs out there, as well, so if you have any questions, you can ALWAYS contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have! We can also direct you to great hedgehog groups on Facebook if you want to chat with other hedgehog owners.

We also spend a lot of time with our babies, socializing them, getting them used to household noises and daily handling. This is to ensure that you go home with a happy, healthy baby who will be a fantastic pet. So the wait is definitely worth it! Impulse buying a pet (of any kind!) is never a good idea, especially if you aren't prepared.

If you are ready for the hedgehog baby of your dreams, read through our policies page, fill out our application at the bottom, and once your application is approved, we can add you to our waitlist. You'll be the first to know about our sweet, friendly, and adorable babies!
